Essar Oil : An integrated oil and gas company, swung to profit for the quarter ended September 2008. During the quarter, the company reported profit of Rs 260 million compared with a loss of Rs 140.90 million in the same quarter, last year. Net sales for the quarter surged 77.67 times to Rs 137,170 million, while total income for the quarter jumped 76.23 times to Rs 137,400 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company posted earnings of Rs 0.22 a share for the quarter ended September 2008.
