UCO Bank : Reported a substantial rise in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2008.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 35.79% to Rs 1,500.90 million from Rs 1,105.30 million in the same quarter, last year.Interest earned for the quarter rose 26.10% to Rs 19,937.30 million, while total income for the quarter rose 26.17% to Rs 21,879.80 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company posted earnings of Rs 1.88 a share during the quarter, registering 36.23% growth over previous year period.
