Market Review

Indian Market Ended with a positive note on Friday as well as on week - on - week basis.   A surprising decline in Crude and Inflation prices also helped market to inched up.  Last week Inflation came down to 12.40 %  ( a decline of 0.23%) compared to its previous week data of 12.63% as a expectation of 12.78 % of market.  Friday , GDP data also came in market , GDP came at 7.9%  in  its Q1 ( FY 2008 - 2009 )  it fell below to 8% when compared to last 9 quarters. Surprising the before the damage of GUSTOV  also it cannot lift the prices of Crude Oil . On last trading day Crude fell $0.13 and finally settled @ $115.46. Gustov will damages the oil rigs ,, and maximum Oil Rigs in North America is on shut down to minimise the loss due to the Gustov. Hike in Oil prices cannot be ruled out due to this  "Mother of all Stroms " .

Indian market Friday closing shows a positive short covering in Indian Market. On week on week basis the Broader Index  50 share NSE Nifty closed at 4360.42 , up by 32.55 points or 0.75% and the benchmark index 30 share BSE SENEX closes at 14,564.53 up by 163.04 points or 1.13% . In Nifty 4200 act as a major support , and if this level breaches we can see a level of 4152 on NIFTY . On higher side we can face resistance at 4465 or even 4520 levels also. In Sensex 13745 will act as a major support area.  Breaching of this will take back to more lower side.  Some relief was seen in Interest - rates sensitive stock on  announcement of positive Inflation data. While the week , IT stocks surges as rupee depreciated to 44.26 compared to  dollar. Infosys , Rolta , Satyam are shining more then others.  This week also witnessed the expiry of the current ( August) month Futures & Option contract. Rollover position was also good in comparison  of last 3 month. Market Wide rollover was 84 & compared to 79 % last month and 81 % avg of last 3 month. Nifty Futures makes a 75 % rollover , this is the highest in last 3 month.  Selective Stock / Sector Specific rollover also seen in market. IT is the biggest example.

Other Asian and World market performed well last week , the US market traded well on news of  US Govt declared that US economy grew at a much faster pace in the second quarter. This makes US market to glitter.  In Asia , all major indices closed in green in weekly comparison  except the Shanghai Composite , it fell 0.3% on weekly basis. Dow moved 4.3% and Nasdaq moves 3.2% on weekly basis. In Asia ,  Hangseng moves around 2.5 % and Japan Nikkei moves 1.3 % on week over week.

Strategy for Nxt Week

We are expecting Indian market will open on lower side due to selling in US market in Friday .      Friday gain was on account of short covering , so we are expecting a little profit booking on Monday . So market will be range-bound to the whole trading session.   As US market is closed on Monday on account of Labour Day holiday,, so crude will be the next major driver of world market as well as Indian market on Tuesday late session. As Strom Gustov will hit the coast of US on Monday. We are expecting a massive loss of money and lives from this Hurricane as this is stated as "Mother of all Stroms " . If this hit Oil rigs on US coastal areas and makes a worst case then we can expect a  surge in Crude oil prices on Tuesday , and if it dint create a worst scene then we can see a fall in crude prices to below $105/ barrel .

NSG member meeting  will be held on 4th and 5th of this month to consider a waiver for India. We are expecting  that there is a fair chances that India will get that waiver. This will make a new boost to Indian market and there is a possibilities  that market will touch 4500 levels on this news .

On 4th Of Sept , Bank Of England ( BOE)  & European Central Bank ( ECB ) will announce their monitery policy . Analyst believes that both BOE and ECB will kept their interest rates unchanged to 5% and 4.5% respectively. Higher interest rates are bearish for the stock market, while lower interest rates are bullish.

Sensex approaching towards 200 ¬ DMA of 17,300

India`s benchmark index, Sensex rallied further during the week to settle above 17,000 for the first time since Feb. 29, 2008, helped by good set of earnings numbers, buying from overseas & domestic investors, and favorable global markets. Broad-based rally in the market was led by metal, realty, capital goods and consumer durable shares.

Now, the Sensex is approaching 200-DMA at 17,300,hence one should be careful while initiating fresh long positions at current levels, but existing trading buying positions can be held with the appropriate trailing stop loss. The intermediate downward trend reversal level is revised from 15,700 to 16,150. If the uptrend of Sensex is continued then Capital Good (BHEL, L&T) and SBI from PSU Banking sector are expected to outperform indices. .

The bulls brushed aside concerns of rising crude oil prices and inflation as short covering lifted the key indices higher. Markets also chose to ignore concerns of the impact of derivatives losses announced by some companies. Finally, the BSE Sensex rose 3.8% to close at 17,126 and NSE Nifty advanced by 3% to close at 5,112 led by gains in index heavyweights like RIL, Tata Steel ,DLF
, Bharti Airtel, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank pushed the 30-share benchmark index higher.

The wholesale price index soared to 7.33% for the week ended Apr. 12, 2008 as against 7.14% in the previous week.

Heavy buying was seen in telecom stocks after Bharti Airtel announced strong quarterly numbers. IT stocks closed the week lower after TCS announced Q4 number below expectations. Metal stocks were among the major gainers led by gains in Tisco, after Corus increased the prices for reversing mill plate and structural sections.

The BSE Metal Index was the biggest gainer during the week and gained 7.3% over the previous week of trade compared to the Sensex gains of around 3.9% during the same period. However, it should be noted that most of the indices were in the green but the Metal Index gained comparatively more. Major contributors to this rally were the stocks of Tata Steel and JSW Steel among the large metal companies. These two stocks gained 12.3% and 8.6% respectively, during the week. The Metal Index gained ground after falling by almost 20% in March due to uncertainty over steel prices and anticipated stringent measures taken by the government to control the prices. After adopting several controlling measures like export halt and removal of DEPB benefits, players have now decided to hold steel prices at the current levels, which is a positive in the sense that there will be no price cuts in the immediate future. However, we believe that these stocks will be volatile on account of the government\\\\\\\'s intervention in steel prices and uncertainty over the measures that it is likely to take to control the same.

REMEMBER on APRIL 29th , RBI has a quaterly Credit Policy Review.. It increases Interest Rates on April 17 by 50bps on two tranches.. It is expected that RBI will not not Increase Interest Rates this time but it can changes REPO RATES.. So better to trade precautionary ahead of RBI meet. and on May1st there will be a FM- Bankers Meet so after that Bank will take call on Increase Interest rates or not..

The Sensex gained 673 points (4.3% ) to close 6 - week high at 16481 against the last week. The Sensex gained nearly 1100 points (7.5%) in the last two month consecutive week. There was broad based buying in the market in Mid- CAp , Small - cap , SUGAR , FERTILIZER , Private Banking , TECH , and Reality Stocks. Impressive infosys Q4 results and its guidance boosted market sentiment. More ever rally in the Global Market and declined Inflation rate also lifted the market. This week, SRF , Polaris , Bhagyanagar India an Surana Tele announced share buy - back . As a result, many miid - cap and small cap stocks witnessed bargain hunting. We expect rally may continue due to stability in the Global Markets. However Crude Oil over $115 / barrel is still a major concern in the market. Next week Wipro , Reliance , TCS , Satyam , RAnbaxy and HDFC bank will announce results. Our top picks among large cap are Reliance , Hero Honda and Axis Bank. And among the mid cap and small cap stoks like Sintex , IVRCL , LIC Housing , DENA Bank , TV Today and TAJ GVK

RBI Raised CRR by 50bps in two tranches. first will be effective from 26th of April and second 25bps will be from May 10th. So this will make a short term negative impact on our market and this will drag 18500 crs from our banks. But on Friday Dow , Nasdaq was flying high.. so on Monday we will get a bullish clues from other Asian Market and in Mid of trading from European Market also.. So , it will be interesting to watch MONDAY in our market as RELIANCE Industries will also announce its Q4 and annual result in or after market hours.

From Last 15 days we are making awesome profits per day.. through out the whole session.. On Thusday we were long on NAG FER , Indus Ind Bnk , Chambal Fert annd alll rocked the sky as all of them was up by 10-20% .. so if anyone of you are interested in paid membership.. please ask us for more details.. or click here to get the plans details.. or u can call us on 9333142627 for more details
